Accessorizing Your Style To Keep Your Look Individual
For much of society looking good seems to be as important as being healthy. Society is obsessed with looks. You only have to look at the trashy celebrity magazines that adorn the news stalls up and down the country and the numbers that they sell to see that this is the case. Celebrity looks sell and the media and the fashion industry know it. In the past it used to be the case that you would see the a-list celebrities on the front covers of our newspapers whenever a scandal or a juicy piece of gossip was about to break, now we have stooped so low we get pictures on a daily basis of b-list and even c-list celebrities taking their dogs to the supermarket. Times have changed and it is debatable whether it is for the best or not. So what, if any good can we take from these magazines?
The fashion industry is massive, no one would disagree with that but what is it about the fashion industry that society needs? Is it a totally way out look that resembles something between a street urchin and a princess or do we just need a little help in appearing presentable and not stuck in a time warp. The answer is probably the second of the two ideas, we need to be shown what looks good but we need to make our own interpretation on these styles.
For instance, if baggy denim jeans are all the fashion this year it would be fool hardy of us to all rush out and buy a pair, we would not do that, we would look at the style and decided whether or not it is for us. Some people look good in jeans and others do not. Putting your own style together out of the fashions that are available at any time is what being an individual is all about. This may mean that you need to take a step away from the shopping mall retail outlets and visit a few smaller fashion houses and independent clothing retailers who offer clothing that is not as mass produced as the larger scale outlets offer.
Good shoes are always a good starting point when creating an individual look, a good quality pair of leather shoes can set a whole outfit off and really raise the look. Clean white trainers are a great look also; they draw the eye in and ensure that the whole look is given a clean crisp edge. The trick with white trainer is to ensure that they stay clean and white, bearing in mind that they will gradually get dirtier over time you need to be aware that they may getting greyer by the day. Another good tip to ensure you keep your look individual is to accessorize with your clothing. Leather belts are available in any number of styles and can be used in any manner of different ways, as can bags, scarves and hats.
